In late May, my son and I were talking about social networking. He said that he had no idea that I, his mother, technically challenged as I can be sometimes, was on Twitter. He pulled out his cell and looked at my tweets. “Aw Ma,” he said, “You need more followers.” I knew where he was coming from. After one year of consistent tweeting, I broke the “100” follower mark; and I have had other people ask me about my tweets, specifically who reads that stuff? Well, I probably get about 3,000 impressions* each week. Now you might say, well, this is nothing compared to some of the more popular tweeters who have millions of followers, and who receive millions of impressions.
But as a student of A Course in Miracles, a receiver of A Course of Love and as a metaphysician, I know who I am, who you are and something of the power of ideas. Take a look at this tweet:
Follow your bliss to end misery and suffering, in and out of the workplace
What makes it powerful? First, thoughts and beliefs are “things” that carry vibration and frequency. So do we! We are embodied vibrating fields of energy. Some thoughts and beliefs carry a vibrational frequency that approximates** that of Universal Intelligence (call it God, Goddess, Source, Charlie, whatever, it doesn’t matter; God knows who It is, we don’t who we are). Take a look at a popular tweeter’s tweet:
Ten women who believe in teasing you with their photos
Mmm. Now you might say, “Why this is sure to get a lot of hits.” You would be right. It will. But that tweet or the article that millions of folks are going to read will not increase their vibrational frequency. Nor will it shift the vibrational frequency of the planet.
Two very different contrasting feelings are created from these two tweets, and it is in the feeling that vibration and frequency are experienced, and energy is directed. You are either inspired by thoughts and beliefs (the job of the first tweet), or you are encouraged to remain in the same current vibrational frequency of the majority of the people on the planet (that would be the job of the second tweet).
Now here is another way to look at thoughts and beliefs. There used to be a commercial on television about a detergent that had the power to remove dirt and stubborn stains. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of this detergent, a tablet of it was placed in a bowl of dirty water. The water in the bowl was stirred around with a spoon, and after a few seconds, presto! The dirty water disappeared and only clean, clear water remained. Heaven only knows what chemicals are in that detergent! But the point is, thoughts and beliefs work in a similar manner.
That first tweet carries a high vibrational frequency. It “out-vibrates,” for lack of a better word, a million of the second type. A higher vibrational frequency produces a different experience, one that differs from the experience created from the second tweet, that about women who tease with their photos (meaning they show you a little bit of their breasts). So you see, while some folks are getting hot and bothered, others are shifting, raising and expanding, however so slightly, their energy from engaging with the first tweet. Continuing to engage with thoughts and beliefs that carry a similar vibrational frequency, creates, presto, a new experience! Just like the dirty water is transformed into clean water, a miserable experience, in and out of the workplace, can be transformed into an experience that excludes misery, conflict and discord, an experience that makes it a joy to live life and be of service on this planet.
What happens with the other thoughts and beliefs, the ones that do not serve to raise your frequency? They no longer receive focus, so they no longer receive energy, so they no longer receive life. Now it’s all about making a choice of where to focus your energy. Energy is given to you and you can do with it whatever your heart desires. And what’s even better is that you won’t be judged for your choice. It’s just a choice. Your choice is where you will direct your energy, and that energy will create your experience. All in all, this is how the Universe operates, and this is the law of transformation and raising your energy field, and ultimately shifting the way we work and play on this planet.
You see, my calling is simply to seed the new earth by sharing the ideas about it, with anyone who is willing to consider that maybe, just maybe, we can change humanity’s trajectory, by each and every one of us, individually, being willing to change the trajectory of our own lives. These are ideas that I translate into digestible thoughts and beliefs that you can wrap your mind around. These are the ideas that will transform earning a living to creating for life, gifting and sharing for the highest good of all life on this planet. These are the ideas that hold the power to end suffering, misery and enslavement to the bottom line; and this is the power behind my tweets.
*impression means that a tweet has been delivered to the Twitter stream of a particular account.
**I use the word “approximates” here, because, and without going into a lengthy metaphysical explanation for it, Universal Intelligence doesn’t engage in thinking or believing and is synonymous with “knowing.” So some thoughts and beliefs carry a frequency that is close to that. The contrast that I am pointing out here is the separation between thinking/believing and knowing.
