Resistance and protest is nothing new to the North American Indigenous. What is new, however, is how Indigenous resistance and protest has contributed to the genre of American rock and roll music. As a global community, we are experiencing a shit-load of skeletons coming out of the closets and woodwork. The documentary “RUMBLE” takes a look at one of those skeletons: the Indigenous, survivors of an attempted cultural cleansing, and the music that they created in the midst of resisting effacement. With commentary by Iggy Pop, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and Taj Mahal, this is a must see documentary for fans of rock and roll. The film is dedicated to the late political activist, poet and musician, John Trudell.
